If you’re fighting, mom’s got some salsa in the kitchen.

Saddest moment of the season…

…Joel and Camille packing up the baby’s room.  Tears.

Words

I just posted a blog about my fibromyalgia, back problems, and the effect it has on my life and the lives of my family members.  This deals with the emotional side of the fibro/back problems, not the medical side.  It also deals with how other people’s attitudes have changed toward me and how I feel about it.  It’s words that I sometimes need to get out but don’t always know how to say.

Check out my new post and my new blog:

Saddest…

episode of How I Met your Mother EVER.

No one feels another’s grief, no one understands another’s joy. People imagine they can reach one another. In reality they only pass each other by.
– Franz Schubert

Life

Life is scary, and moves so fast.  One day you are pretty sure you know what you want and where you are going.  The next day, you are going in a completely different direction, but somehow you know it is right.

Still Awake…

…and still in pain…at 3:30 in the morning.  Work begins in less than four hours.  Which means hubby is back on full time duty again.  Fibro sucks.  Back pain sucks.  Everything sucks.

I want to sleep!

I have a huge assignment/presentation due at school Monday.  I don’t know how I am going to manage to complete it, let alone get to school, sit through class, and present it. I don’t even know why I am doing this, because I am not going to be able to hold a job outside of the house.  Gotta have goals, I guess, but what’s the point?

Fibro sucks.  Back pain sucks.

Be Thankful…

If you got out of bed this morning without having to carefully stretch each and every muscle just to make sure that it was going to do its job before applying weight to it, be thankful.

If you were able to wash your face, shower, get dressed, go to the bathroom, comb your hair, or brush your teeth without tears in your eyes, be thankful.

If you were able to walk to your kitchen and pour yourself a glass of orange juice or water or coffee without help from another person, be thankful.

If you were able to make yourself breakfast, even if said breakfast was cold pop tarts, be thankful.

If you were able to get into your vehicle and drive relatively comfortably to your place of work, be thankful.

If you were able to spend the whole day completing the ordinary tasks that your job requires without having to take breaks every three minutes, be thankful.

If you were able to drive home this afternoon/evening without pain so bad that it brought you to tears, be thankful.

If you were able to make dinner, eat dinner, or enjoy family time after work, be thankful.

If you looked at, spoke to, hugged, or thought about your children today, be thankful.

If you were able to lie down next to your husband or wife and fall asleep without having to worry about how sore you will be from sharing the bed, be thankful.

If you were able to fall asleep at all, be thankful.

If you are fairly certain that you will be able to get up and do it all again tomorrow, be thankful.  And the day after that, and the day after that, and the day after that…be thankful.

These moments made up of your ordinary life are rare treasures for some.  If you completed any part of this list today, be thankful that you are healthy enough to do so, because for some, that health is beyond their reach.  Some of us were unable to do any of these things today, and will be unable to do them tomorrow, or the next day, or the next.  Health is a gift that is easy to take for granted if it is always there.  May it always be there for you…and may you take just one moment, at least today, to be thankful for that.

All alone I didn’t like the feeling
All alone I sat and cried
All alone I had to find some meaning
In the center of the pain I felt inside
All alone I came into this world
All alone I will someday die
Solid stone is just sand and water, baby
Sand and water, and a million years gone by
– Beth Nielsen Chapman

Pajamas

There are not many gifts I love more than a brand new pair of pajamas.  Especially when they’re cute.  Especially when they are pink or purple.

Healing begins when someone bears witness. I saw you. I believe you.
– Olivia Benson, Law & Order: SVU
Can you keep from crying, by considering things?
– Alice through the Looking Glass, Lewis Carroll

Well I guess I made up my mind…

One solitary thought on what is going on with Julia, Joel, Sydney, and Zoe…..

It. Doesn’t. Fucking. Work. Like. That.

Take it from someone who knows.

Maybe they will still change directions and have Zoe change her mind.  That would be some drama.

Sorry for the language, that is one word I most definitely do not use often.  It is warranted in this situation.

If you want to know why it is warranted in this situation, feel free to read here:

Wow

Amber is AMAZING with Max.  I think she could have a career working with kids like Max.  I hope that is the direction they are taking with this.  That would be amazing.
